“Hot” session of the Regional Council: lively discussions and… door slamming (PHOTO)

Today’s session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council was long, but also hot.

First,depiuties listened to the report of security forces on the events in Mukachevo. They did not say anything new and specific. 

Frequent answer was "we can not say, the investigation continues." Also, the chief of the Transcarpathian police Serhiy Knyazev did not say how MP Mustafa Nayem had obtained the edited video from the shooting place.

The regional prosecutor Volodymyr Yanko informed that criminal proceedings had been initiated not only against the members of the Right Sector, but also against representatives of the police and the people, who were in the sports complex "Antares".

Then, the Transcarpathian deputies proceeded to the everyday affairs and adopted several amendments to important regional programs, such as "Drinking Water", "Your own home", and so on. Also, they distributed subsoil use rights.

But the stumbling block was one of the most anticipated decisions – on approval of the prespective plan of the associations of communities in the region. There were not enough votes to adopt it.   

Reacting to the lack of votes from deputies, the Governor spoke blunty about a "political issue" and with the words "are you making a fool of me?" quickly left the room, slamming the door loudly.

Then, some deputies, including representatives of the former Party of Regions, started leaving the hall, and the plenary session was basically over.

The session of the Regional Council, which actually may be the last one in its cadence, is not closed. The next plenary session make take place 10 days after the announcement of its convocation but no later than 30 days from today.
