“Bully” has been caught

At the checkpoint "Solotvyno", border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment arrested a man involved in the beating of an inspector of the Border Guard Service on August 2.

Thus, during the control measures, border guards found a person trying to escape justice using the passport of a citizen of Hungary. During the document inspection, it was found that its data partially matched the data of a person wanted. During a subsequent interview, it turned out that the man was actually a citizen of Ukraine and suspected of the beating of a border guard. Thus, the attacker was detained and referred to law enforcement. 

Recall that on August 2, an inspector of the Border Guard Service department "Yablunivka" was beaten on his own yard.   In the central district hospital, he was diagnosed with a closed head injury, concussion, compression of the neck, and bruises of the face and chest.

Border guards established the names of the perpetrators, who were involved in smuggling activities on the state border. On July 27 the beaten border guard prevented an attempted smuggling of 12 packages of tobacco products, and the offenders then fled leaving their carriage.

Currently, criminal proceeding under Article 345 of the Criminal Code "Threats or violence against a law enforcement officer" has been opened. Transcarpathian police officers continue conducting operative-search measures, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs.
