Six smugglers were arrested near Chop. All were sent to the military commissariat for mobilization

On the night to Thursday, Chop border guards detained near the village of Salovka in Uzhgorod district ​​six local people who were trying to smuggle cigarettes across the state border (six boxes in total). The cigarettes were seized and the detainees – men of military age – after drawing up administrative reports were sent to the military commissariat for mobilization.

Another attempt of smuggling was prevented by Mukachevo border guards near the village of Dilove in Rakhiv district. In the forest, a few hundred meters from the state border, they found a stash with four boxes of cigarettes prepared for smuggling to Romania. Owners of the cigarettes are being identified.

No attempts of smuggling large batches of cigarettes or other excise goods across the state border of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region were recorded yesterday.
