Bikes vs despiritualization

On June 27, the bicycle race "With prayer for peace" took place, the publication Religious Transcarpathia informs.

The ride started at the Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral, then headed to the church of St. George, where they prayed for peace in the country. Then, via Zhupanatska street, they headed to the Hill of Glory where they held a memorial service for the fallen soldiers. Then, they rode down Pidhirna street to the church of St. Josaphat. The last stop was the military unit where everyone had a chance to talk with the officers who devoted their life to military medicine.

The organizer of this event was the Rev. Vladislav (Ihnatyshyn), who personally took part in the race. He explained: "Bicycle is a friend that can help throughout. On foot, a person would visit two or three churches, and by bike – seven, eight, and ten. In addition, there are many people who like to bike, but have never been in a churche. The idea is that we, keeping a healthy lifestyle, should also a spiritual lifestyle, get acquainted with the places consecrated by our ancestors. This bike ride, which is not the first one, is devoted to prayer for peace in Ukraine. The money collected during this bicycle race will be transferred to the medical company of 128th mountain infantry brigade."
