Starting May 29, the Ukrainian Railways will be transporting passengers and cargo under the new rules

To improve customer service and expand the list of services, the Ukrainian Railways will be transporting passengers, cargo and mail under the new rules. The original birth certificate will no longer be needed for transportation of children in domestic traffic.

From now on, certified copies of birth certificates or other documents certifying the child’s age will be enough for transportation of minors under 16.

For students, price reductions in social cars will be applied as before. They will pay half the fare in general, reserved seat, second and third class cars of all categories of suburban and intercity trains and in all cars of regional trains. Student discount will not be applied to cars of the highest category – night coach, compartment, first class cars (except regional trains). 

The list of documents to be presented while boarding a train has been expanded.  Servicemen now can present military IDs.

A person going home after serving a sentence should present an appropriate certificate from the prison.

Now you can carry your pets (small dogs, cats, etc.) in reserved seat carriages of night trains, which was not allowed previously.

Travel under a single travel document was canceled due to lack of demand for this service.
