25 – 26 of March, 2015, in the city of Uzhgorod, in the auditorium of the Department of Social Welfare of the RSA, there was the first training course on the development and reform of public services in the field of mental health, initiated by the Dutch organization Soft Tulip.
It is a six-month training course consisting of six meetings in Uzhgorod, which last the whole day in the period from March to September 2015, with constant practical tasks within six days. Each day focuses on sharing knowledge and best practices and available for both experts from health care facilities of the region and interested experts from higher education institutions (doctors, psychologists, etc.).
The purpose of this course is to increase the knowledge and skills to implement in the field of health care and organize medical, psychological and social services.
The course is developed by the Soft Tulip in collaboration with various institutions, including the Turya-Remety neuropsychiatric clinic and Mukachevo neuropsychiatric clinic №1, psychiatric hospital in Beregovo, and the "Umbrella" Center, medical and social rehabilitation center "Way of Life" and the parent organization. The course is approved by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The teaching staff includes experts from the Netherlands and Ukraine. Accreditation certificate will be received at the end of the course, depending on participation on behalf of Parnassia Academy and the Soft Tulip, the Hague, Netherlands.
Soft Tulip is a Dutch organization that represents several large institutions in the field of mental health and patients with disabilities. Since 2006, the Soft Tulip has been participating in several projects covering care of children and adults in Ukraine.
