Paramedics reported to Tyachiv District Police that in the village of Kalyny in Tyachiv district, an accident with victims had occurred.
The investigative team at the scene of the accident found out that on January 24, between 00:00 and 00:15, the driver of an unidentified car, moving in the village of Kalyny on Holovna Street, had hit a pedestrian who was a 52-year-old local resident. The victim died at the scene from his injuries and the driver fled the scene.
According to the Acting Chief of Tyachiv District Police Lieutenant Colonel Vasyl Pokovba, the criminal proceeding over this fact has been opened under Part 2 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, but they could not immediately identify the person who committed this accident.
