License plates may be stolen by a gang

Attention!  Attention!  Thieves of Slovak license plates! Users of social networks raise the alarm.

"The scheme is as follows: thieves went through Berezny, Dubrynichi and Perechyn, and everywhere they would remove license plates… about 30 pieces. They would take only foreign license plates. On the windshield, they would leave a phone number. When you call them, they tell you in a calm and pleasant voice a bank card number… You transfer 2,000 UAH and they tell you where your license plates are". – one of the victims says, and adds:" Be careful. They say that such incidents have happened before." For example, in late December in Beregovo district, according to local media, 12 license plates were stolen in one night. Therefore, the assumption of coordinated actions by an organized group seems reasonable.
