Teachers of Volovets district received premium for prestige

On December, payments of premiums for prestige to educators of Volovets district were resumed. This is the only district in the region, where teachers have not been paid this premium since autumn because of debts in the budget. Until April of this year, 20 percent premium for prestige to teachers was subsidized by the Cabinet of Ministers. Later, the government gave local authorities the right to pay this premium at their discretion, provided there is enough money in the budget.  Since September, because of lack of money in the local budget, Volovets district teachers have been paid less.

In December, the district received a subvention from the regional budget and this issue has been resolved.
