An exhibition of photographs from Corvallis – “Enjoy life! Cherish hope!” will be opened in the “Mustard Seed”

In early December, in Uzhgorod, another photoexposition will open in the open air gallery in the "Mustard Seed" Lane.

This time, the exhibition of 20 works will be devoted to people with disabilities and timed to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is celebrated on December 3.

The exhibition will be organized by the NGO "Association of citizens of sister cities Corvallis-Uzhgorod" and the Medico-Social Rehabilitation Center "Way of Life" known in our region for its tremendous work.

At the exhibition, Uzhgorod residents and visitors will see the "American segment" of the exhibition, which has already been exhibited in the USA and Ukraine.

A little background.  According to the deputy director of the Medico-Social Rehabilitation Center "Way of Life" Irina Roshkovich, on the 3rd of June 2014, there was the opening of the photo exhibition in the public library of Corvallis entitled "Celebrating Diversity".

The exhibition featured photos from Ukraine and from Corvallis.

Photos from Ukraine are 40 winners of the National contest "Charity through the lens 2012" conducted by the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum (UPF).

In the autumn of 2013, in Uzhgorod, the opening of this exhibition was attended by a delegation of TOUCH from Corvallis. When organizing an event in the city of Corvallis, they decided to invite local photographers who received the task to cover the lives of people with disabilities.

The results of their work will be presented to Uzhgorod residents at the photo exhibition "Enjoy life! Cherish hope!"

The exhibition opening is scheduled for December 2, at 15:00.
