The new parliamentary group "Transcarpathia", formed last Friday during the regular session of the regional council, is comprised of 20 former Party of Regions members. Signatures to form the group were collected by its initiators at the "Zolota Hora".
The group consists of 20 deputies – Serhiy Rishko, Vasyl Pryhara, Victor Ledida, Alla Petrova, Oleksandr Ledyda, Arthur Iwashko, Roman Rohach, Vasyl Ivancho, Igor Svyshcho, Petro Hrytsyk, Mykhailo Tsiryk, Stepan Medvid, Mykhailo Duran, Mykhailo Bokoch, Heorhiy Ulihanynets, Oleksandr Antal, Carlo Rezesh, Ivan Nemesh, Oleg Palinkash, Dmytro Andriyuk. The head of the group is Petro Hrytsyk.
Tellingly, the newly formed by ex Party of Regions members group includes six people who come within the provisions of the lustration law and will not have right to work in the government for the next 10 years. In particular, Oleksandr Ledyda (headed the RSA), Victor Ledida (former head of Uzhgorod DSA), Vasyl Ivancho (former head of the regional tax service), Dmytro Andriyuk (former head of Rakhiv DSA), Igor Svyshcho (worked as the First Deputy Governor) and the group leader Petro Hrytsyk (former head of Perechyn DSA).
