NBU banks sold nearly $ 100 million

During the intervention in the interbank market, the National Bank sold banks almost all claimed amount of 100 million dollars at the rate 12.952 hryvnia per dollar.

This was reported by a source at the market, the UNIAN informed.

Recall that the regulator intends to control the availability of currency at banks – participants of foreign exchange auctions and interventions.

As reported, on October 17, the National Bank will also carry out intervention with the sale of foreign currency in the amount of $ 200 million at a fixed rate.

The heads of the largest banks in Ukraine at the closed meeting with the leadership of the state on September 23 agreed to sell dollars at the rate not exceeding 12.95 hryvnia for one dollar.

Following these agreement, the quotes hryvnia against the dollar on the interbank market are kept within 12,95-13,4 hryvnia to the dollar.
