The Deputy Minister of income and taxes of Ukraine Volodymyr Khomenko asked all residents of the country to report facts of illicit vodka manufacturing:

"The Ministry of income and taxes of Ukraine invites to support the social and educational initiative "If you see counterfeit vodka – call immediately: 044 284 0007", aimed at combating counterfeit alcohol products and establishment of a healthy lifestyle in Ukraine. Every year, low-quality alcohol kills more than 10 thousand people in Ukraine.

In recent years, black alcohol market has increased to an unacceptable for the civilized world rate – more than 40%. This figure illustrates the level of social and moral decline of Ukrainian society. Our goal is to overcome this ideological crisis, establish social principles of a healthy lifestyle.

An important aspect of the initiative is to encourage society to fight corruption. The growth of black alcohol market leads to loss of money for the state and society. The deliberate refusal from counterfeit products will significantly narrow the illegal market. This will allow the state to attract additional billions of hryvnias for solving social problems.

The Ministry of income and taxes of Ukraine for their part take all legal and operational measures to combat black alcohol marketj. I am sure that together we shall strengthen the values of ​​a healthy lifestyle and fair social development in the society," – the statement says.
