In Uzhgorod, they recorded a campaign poster of the presidential candidate Oleg Tiagnybok without background data. The poster is hanging on a fence on the intersection of Svoboda Avenue, Shvabska and Mynaiska street.
The poster does not containe background data, which is a violation of two articles of the Law of Ukraine "On the Election of the President of Ukraine." Part 3 of Article 59 of the Law states: "Printed campaign materials should include information about the printing entity or indication that materials have been printed using the equipment of the relevant candidate for the President of Ukraine or of the party that nominated the candidate for the President of Ukraine, their circulation, information on persons responsible for the release, and the customer of the materials in question." Part 16 of Article 64 of the Law states: "It is prohibited to produce and distribute printed election campaign materials that do not contain information about the the printing entity, their circulation, information on persons responsible for the release, and the customer of the materials in question."
Representative of Oleg Tiagnybok campaign headquarters in Transcarpathian region O. Kutsin, told a representative of the OPORA that such advertising, as that on the fence in Uzhgorod, is used in many cities of Ukraine.
According to O. Kutsin, lawyers of the "Svoboda" do not interpret this fact as a violation of election law. If observers believe that it is a violation, they should respond in accordance with the law.
