A pregnant illegal immigrant was detained by border guards on the way to EU

Yesterday, border guards of the department "Uzhgorod" detained a "brave" citizen of Somalia. The woman was going to illegally get to Slovakia, and did not have any ID.

Later it became known that the offender was in prenatal condition and, according to her, could give birth within the next two weeks. However, the story was still not over. Having checked on databases and contacted with colleagues from the eastern region, Chop law enforcement officers found out that this woman had already been detained for the same offense in the area of ​​Sumy border guard detachment on May 4 this year. After the arrest and trial of the case in court, this citizen applied to the department of migration service in Sumy to obtain a refugee status in Ukraine. Upon the receipt of the relevant certificate, the woman headed off toward the western border to get to one of the EU countries.

After the delivery of the detainee to the Chop detachment, medical staff examined her and put her in a separate room. The woman had no health complaints. The decision on legal liability and her further fate will be taken by the court.
