Transcarpathia is the leader in charity

This year’s charity event "Heart to Heart" is held under the slogan "I want to see life", and the raised funds will be used to purchase medical equipment for children with visual impairments. This, in particular, was mentioned at the press conference, which was attended by the organizers of the event, the press service of the RSA reported.

According to the chief child ophthalmologist of Transcarpathian region Lyudmyla Khvoinytska, every year more and more children suffer from a variety of visual deficiencies. That is why, today there is a need of the medical equipment to improve sight of children.

– Officials traditionally contribute to the charity – the Deputy Director of Education, Youth and Sports Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vitaliy Erfan said. – Employees of government agencies were asked to donate one-day salary to the charity fund.

26 and 27 of April, there will be the final stage of the campaign which was launched on April 7, – volunteers will come out to the streets and squares of settlements of the regions to collect money from those wishing to contribute.
By the way, Transcarpathia is traditionally among the leaders in terms of collected contributions in Ukraine. Thus, last year, the region took the second place, collecting 454,000 UAH.
