Pogorelov, “I regret that I believed the promises of the Party of Regions.” The statement “after everything”

Uzhgorod.in has received a statement of the ex-mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Pogorelov entitled "The appeal after everything."

"Dear Uzhgorod residents

Three years ago, for the second time you entrusted me to manage the city. It was not easy. I had to raise the dilapidated communal system of Uzhgorod. And all that, in the conditions of economic crisis, chronic underfunding of the budget and constant internal political wars.

I’m not complaining because I knew what was ahead of me. This is not an easy job – on the one hand to think how to patch holes, on the other hand – the constant tug of war with deputies and political figures in Transcarpathia. I always was between two fires.

My biggest regret is that I believed the promises of additional funding for the city if I join the Party of Regions. Regrettably, not only the city did not receive the money, but also my reputation was damaged.

I hope that the new managers of the city from the United Center will have the wisdom and retain those good developments that we have built for the sustenance of Uzhgorod. Because breaking is easier than building.

I am grateful to everyone who has been with me all this difficult time. Especially, to Uzhgorod residents for their trust, support and understanding.
