Another appeal about scam was received by Mukachevo police. An 85-year-old resident of the city reported that in the morning, an unknown person had rung on his cell phone, said that he was a police officer and that the man’s grandson had been detained by the police for carrying drug substance. To have him released, the man was demanded to transfer 1000 UAH to the specified bank account…
The old man did that, and only after that he called his grandson. Of course, the latter said that he had not been detained and at the moment was working in Moscow…
The police once again reminds: if you receive a similar proposal, in no way agree to transfer money, and immediately call the police and the person in question to see if your relative’s all right.
