Warming points are working in Transcarpathia

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions in Ukraine, 4000 warming points have been set up in the regions, one thousand social patrols are working. 

Snow-cleaning machines are working on roads. According to weather forecasts, the temperature in the coming days will decrease to -22°C, the speed of wind will increase to 15-20 m / s, snowfall will intensify.

As reported by the First Deputy Governor Igor Svyshcho, snow-cleaning equipment, warming points are currently working on the roads Transcarpathia. Snow cover in the region is 10-50 cm. According to weather forecasts, in early February, the day temperature in the region will increase to above zero, at night the temperature will drop below zero. Snow on the plains will gradually melt away.

To avoid flooding, the Comprehensive plan of actions to ensure accident-free ice drift, flooding and storm floods in the region in 2014 has been developed and adopted.   All pumping stations are ready for pumping internal water. The equipment has been checked for readiness to emergency work, if necessary. Locations for deployment of equipment, stuff and facilities in settlements within the area, which is not at risk of flooding, have been designated.
