Last weekend, in the area of "Palad Komarivtsi" unit, border guards of the Chop detachment detained three Africans who were trying to illegally get to the EU.
Border guards detected two women and one man on the outskirts of the Ukrainian-Slovak border. Border guards immediately caught up with the unknown men and detained them. At the request of the border guards to provide documents for verification, the offenders reported that they came from Somalia, but had no documents. Later it was found out that for two detainees this attempt to illegally cross the border with Slovakia was not the first one: the man was detained for the second time, and one of his companions – for the third time!
The offenders were taken to the border unit to ascertain the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative and procedural documents. Their further fate and responsibility under the law will be determined by the court.
