According to the detective of the Criminal Investigation Sector of Vynogradiv district police department Ivan Veresh, the offender was arrested after committing another theft. A resident of Vynogradiv, going to the local coffee shop in the evening, left his bike in the street, and when he returned, it was not there anymore. The victim promptly reported the theft to the police, and the investigative team immediately arrived to the scene of the crime.

50-year-old resident of the village of Trosnyk in Vynogradiv district Mykhailo has been convicted several times and spent in prison 17 years overall. The man would mostly do time for theft, but the prison "education" has not taught him anything, and once released he would fall back into old habits.

According to the deputy chief – the chief of the criminal police of Vynogradiv district police department, Major Ivan Tovt, the detained offender will be brought to criminal liability under the Criminal Code of Ukraine st.185 (theft), and he faces up to three years in prison. Currently, the investigators have proven four episodes of theft, including that of a bicycle "Minsk" in the village of Fanchikovo, motorcycle in the village of Oleshnyk, bike and mobile phone in the village of Nove Selo and more.
