Due to the reform of customs and tax services in Transcarpathia and the establishment of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income, about 10% of employees have been laid off. The downsizing was performed at the expense of the Chop Customs, the employees of which had their responsibilities changed and were trasferred to other units.
This was reported at the meeting with journalists by the Head of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region Vasyl Ivancho – the IA ZIK informed.
According to him, the situation in the region is atypical compared to other regions where less customs officers have been laid off. The Chop Customs is one of the largest (second largest) in Ukraine, and the tax service in Transcarpathia is one of the smallest. Now, the number of employees is aligned.
Total number of employees of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region is 1890, including 930 tax officers and 960 customs officials.
