The reason is the collapse of the retaining wall of the railway route Rakhiv-Yasinya, near the village of Yasinya. The wall was washed out by the Black Tisa river and every day it is increasingly deteriorating. The village head Eduard Zelinsky has repeatedly informed the local district administration, and "Ivano-Frankivsk office of rail transportation" of the state territorial association "Lviv Railway" serving the railway, but to no avail.
"The retaining wall has been collapsing for several years, more than ten meters of concrete structure has already been destroyed, and because of this there is the risk of destruction of railway track, but our officials do not respond to the situation until a disaster happens. In case of minor flooding we can lose part of the track, so there is a danger that Rakhiv will be left without railway to Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk," – the village head said.
