That is the number of criminal offenses in the first half of 2013 registered by the Financial Investigation Department of the Ministry of Income Office. Thirty-six of the offenses registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations are related to tax evasion.
Experts of the Ministry found eight violations committed in public procurement with the total loss amounting to 1.4 million hryvnias. Nearly 1 million hryvnias has been recovered to the budget, and 137,000 hryvnias worth of property arrests have been imposed.
Since the beginning of 2013, the operational department have revealed three criminal offenses related to the use of new technologies and legalization of proceeds from crime.
During the past six months, over 19 million hryvnias worth of inventory has been removed from illegal circulation, including excisable goods worth 2.5 million hryvnias, and also one underground spirits shop was closed.
Overall, in the first half of this year, units of operational department of the regional Ministry of Income office allocated 9 million hryvnias to the budget, – the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region reported.
