More than 2,000 jobs will be created at the new venture in Volovets district

Private Company "Polimer Tekhnika" Ltd. in Volovets was founded in 1996, based on the former "Electron" factory. Back then, the new production facility employed more than 700 people. However, after the economic crisis of 2008, the number of employees had to be cut. And today, there are a little over 100 employees there, who produce transport rollers, automotive switches and switches for household appliances. All parts, made at the Volovets plant, are now exported to Germany.

Currently, they conduct negotiations on the sale of the "Polimer Tekhnika" to another Transcarpathian company – "Tochprylad-Mukachevo" LLC.  Such a move will significantly increase production capacity and bring the enterprise to a new level. The negotiations are on the final stage now. There is only one unresolved question: will a small Volovets district have enough manpower for such a powerful production? Only by preliminary forecasts, the company will need more than 2 thousand employees.  The head of the local District State Administration Vasyl Kultan told the acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Igor Svyshcho that they would try to solve this problem by engaging the neighboring districts and regions. According to the head of the district, currently they are considering the transportation of workers even from Skole district, Lviv region.
