"Rainbow over the Tisa" festival will be held 9-12 of May in Khust;
Ivan Pylypets, the director of the festival: "I am delighted that the festival returned to Khust. This year, the song festival will be attended by Bulgarians, Moldovans, Romanians, Georgians. The Russians refused at the last moment, but we will cooperate with them, – Ivan Pylypets says. – We have increased the number of participants to 70. The organizing committee of the festival is the same. The number of members of the jury rose to 7 people, the chairman of the jury is O. Zlotnik, composer, the Rector of the Kyiv Institute of Music, members of the jury are N.Koval, the director of the International Festival "Young Galicia", Irma Hvineashvili (Georgia), Lyudmila Lozhkina (Moldova), O.Sadvari, Honored Artist of Ukraine (Transcarpathia), and others."
The festival starts on May 9 with the arrival of the participants, rehearsal, tours for singers etc. May 10 is the first day of competition, and on May 11 there will be the final round of the competition. The jury will evaluate soloists – performers under the age of 22 years.
On May 12, in Khust there will be the gala concert of the festival, where the winners of the previous years competitions – Katya Davydenko, Anna Tykha, Shmahi Tahiashvili, Vyacheslav Korsak, Viktor Papp – will perform. Also they invited one of the best guitarists in Europe – Sergo Chanturia.
The winner of the Grand Prix traditionally receives a 60 centimeters high forged daffodil during the awarding of the laureates and participants.
The organizers invite all Transcarpathians on May holidays to come to Khust to enjoy singing and music.
