President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has supported the initiative to accelerate the start of construction of the perinatal center in Transcarpathia. This was announced, after the meeting with the Head of the State, by the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda.
The Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration briefed the President on the progress of health reform in the region. He noted that the state budget provides funding for the construction of the perinatal center in 2014. "We would like to accelerate it" – O.Ledyda said. He informed the President that all necessary documents had been collected and the land had been allocated. Viktor Yanukovych has supported the need to start the construction of the perinatal center in 2013.
The President drew attention to the situation with the prices of medicines and the work of "ambulance" in the region.
The Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported to the President that within a week in four districts of the region a system for automated control of an "ambilance" using GPS-navigation would be introduced.
