On April 28, on Narodna square they will “plant” a “grove” of 54 “Easter egg trees”

The week before Easter in the center of Uzhgorod there will be the children’s Easter egg making competition. This was announced today, April 16, by the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Ivan Kachur.

"On Narodna Square they will install Easter trees, decorated with various Easter eggs. 54 teams from all districts and cities, vocational schools, and regional educational institutions will participate in the event. The teams will consist of nine people – six students and three teachers. In the center of the square a big jewelry Easter egg will be placed", – Ivan Kachur said. The event will run until May 8.

Embroidery will be the mandatory "dress code" of the holiday. "I hope that whole Narodna square will blossom with embroidery. Come and see, you will enjoy it, – the head of the pre-school, secondary and adult education Hanna Sopkova promised. – All participants will have a dinner and some surprises. We will try to hold the holiday at the same level as in Lviv, Ternopil regions. We have borrowed this idea from those regions."
