Yesterday, February 15, the chief doctor of Uzhgorod City Perinatal Center Andriy Chaban was reprimanded for the second time in a week.
The first reprimand concerned the alleged shortcomings in the conduct of optimization (as they are accustomed to cleverly call downsizing) and personnel work. And the second reprimand is for allegedly improper paperwork.
According to executors of Uzhgorod mayor’s wish, who try to find excuses for the "raids", the chief doctor, obviously, is supposed to personally keep all documentation relating to childbirth, which in Uzhgorod perinatal center happens more than 10 times per day. Also, the officials did not take into account that in case of any deficiencies in documentation, the first to be reprimanded should be the attending doctor, the head of department, the head of the medical division and only then the chief doctor.
Recall, in late December, the Mayor Victor Pogorelov already gave a repremand to Chaban – now it is being challenged in court – and also forced him to "voluntarily" write a statement of resignation.
In Uzhgorod, the rumor has it that under Chaban leadership the perinatal center does not provide as much "tribute" as some would like it to do.
