Uzhgorod judge was fired for abetment of gambling business

High Council of Justice dismissed an Uzhgorod City Court judge from his position. He was fired for violating the oath.

The judge allowed an entrepreneur to organize gambling business. In Ukraine, it is prohibited. The now ex-judge explained his actions by the discrepancies in the norms of law. On the one hand, they restrict gambling, and on the other hand they protect investors – reported the "Podrobytsi".

Obviously, the story is about the judge Vitaliy Sochka.
As previously reported, January 29, 2013 after consideration of the agenda of the High Council of Justice it was decided to submit to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych a proposal to dismiss Sochka Vitaly Ivanovich from the position of the judge of Uzhgorod district court in Transcarpathian region for violating the oath.

The hearing on the deputy of Uzhgorod City Council Ivan Voloshin for administrative offense in the form of committing a corrupt act was scheduled for February 1, 2013, in Uzhgorod City and District Court. Judge Vitaly Sochka was supposed to preside at that meeting. However, the hearing was postponed due to illness of the judge.
