Today, December 14, seventh graders of the Uzhgorod school number 3 were invited to visit the Dog Training Centre of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region. Head of the Center Oleksandr Lazar showed children how dogs are kept, how they are trained, and what they are fed.
The center was established in 1995, and in 2005 it opened a branch in Mukachevo. Today 26 dogs are kept in departments across the region. Among them, most are German Shepherds. there are also labradors, cocker spaniels and badger dogs. The most famous among the police dogs is the three-year-old labrador Samantha. She helped to uncover the brutal murder, committed in November in the village of Zanka in Volovets district.
