On Wednesday, November 28, the head of the region, Oleksandr Ledyda held a meeting with the heads of district administrations. The meeting was also attended by deputy heads Ivan Kachur and Volodymyr Prikhodko – informed the press center of RSA.
Highlights of the meeting agenda was the reforming of health and education sectors of the region. According to the head of the regional department of health Roman Shnitser, the reorganization of the primary care medicine is going on successfully. Thus, about 92% of the population of Transcarpathia are covered by family doctor service. However, there are such issues, where heads of district administrations do not fulfill the tasks: somewhere in some district there are problems with providing medicines and adequate funding for nutrition.
In the educational field, the Transcarpathian region, compared to the rest of Ukraine, is among the leaders in coverage of children by preschool education. But these indicators are positive not in all districts. If some districs over the past two years have managed to increase the percentage of children engaged in preschool education from 25 to 70%, then, for example, in Rakhiv district, this figure has remained at 25-30%.
– Heads of district state administrations should take personal responsibility for all socio-economic processes in the districts. You need to follow the situation in the fields of medicine, education and culture. To arrange work, to find appropriate experts and, ultimately, to fulfill all the tasks and improve the quality of education and health care in the districts – that’s your immediate obligations. If necessary, you will find full support of the regional authorities – said Oleksandr Ledyda.
Following the meeting heads of district administrations were given appropriate orders and instructions in order to ensure work in socially important sectors in the districts.
