Borys Kolesnikov promised that at the beginning of December in Ukraine there will be no pay toilets at railway stations.
The Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov promised that from December 1 toilets at all stations of Ukraine will become free.
"As of the first of December there will be no pay toilets on any station in Ukraine, because it is nonsense," – he said, as quoted by the LIGABusinessInform.
Also he stressed that the level of service in free toilets should remain the same.
"And the service level should not be lower, and this is our concern. For people who come there, nothing will change, they just will not have to pay the money," – he said.
According to Kolesnikov, employees who work in paid toilets, will be included in the stations’ stuff.
It should be noted that so far there are virtually none absolutely free toilets at Ukrainian stations. In some cases, you can make free use of restroom, upon presentation of a ticket on the train. The cost of visiting the toilet on average costs about 2 UAH.
