Uzhgorod lit candles in memory of Holodomor

Requiem meeting took place in Uzhgorod. Traditionally, at Theatre Square it gathered town residents, clergy, government officials, as well as young people and children.

During the prayer everyone could ignite and set a memory candle which indicates emotional pain for people, who were lost for Ukraine as a result of famine.

Lighted candles formed a cross as a sign of respect for all the victims of a terrible national tragedy.
