Usually Transcarpathians begin to clean the graves of loved ones in a week before All Saints’ Day, but this year the weather was so cold and rainy that all seem to have decided to postpone work to November 1.
By the way, there are a few people at the oldest cemetery Uzhgorod – Kalwaria. There are no flowers and candles at the gravestones of the luminaries of Transcarpathian school of painting Joseph Bokshay and Adalbert Erdelyi, although someone "worked" on the Erdelyi monument by painting the decorative vase with tassels in childishly bright colors.
Sadly stands among the graves the chapel of the noble Telendi family. Before the Second World War the family descendants took the ashes of the buried in the chapel crypt and reburied them in Budapest, since then alternative youth have held their meetings here, and recently, they say, they even hung a dog in the chapel.
