Executive committee banned skating on rivers

The city executive committee decided on measures to prevent loss of life on water, in particular banned skating on the derivational channel, on the Uzh river within the city, and on reservoirs on Zahorska and Churhovych streets, in the park "Peremoha" and in Radvanka quarry.

Also they banned ice fishing in the area of the Uzh river 200 m upstream and 300 m downstream from the pedestrian bridge "Bozdosky".

As the head of the department of defense and mobilization Victor Panasenko reported, during the summer in Uzhgorod two men drowned – near the Bozdosky bridge and in the quarry. That is just where swimming was forbidden. 
Executive Committee members approved the program unanimously.
