Chop customs officers found smuggled cigarettes in 9 train tanks

At the customs post "Batyeve" during the inspection of 66 freight cars Chop customs officers together with employees of the railway station military guard found 1478 cigarette packs, hidden in hollow spaces of 9 tanks.
The train route was from Kazakhstan to Hungary, transited through Ukraine, with loads of "liquefied gas", "ammonium nitrate", "lumber", "rock salt" and "carbon black". During the inspection customs officers more thoroughly examined the pivot beams of rail tank cars.  It was there where 147 cartons of Belarusian cigarettes were hidden. Usually in such cases, there are no owners of hidden goods and people involved in their illegal transportation across the border, so customs officers do not write a protocol on violation of customs regulations, but only remove illegal items.
