Prosecutors took on the case “Ryzhova against the mayor office”

On September 17, Uzhgorod City Prosecutor, as directed by the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region, organized the investigation at the request of the Transcarpathian journalist. On September 17 journalist Victoria Ryzhova appealed to the prosecutor of Uzhgorod on illegal disclosure of her personal data in the official newspaper of Uzhgorod city council and executive committee "Uzhgorod".   Ryzhova interprets actions of the City Council and the editorial of "Uzhgorod" as signs of obstruction to journalistic activities by encouraging to refuse the initiated journalist investigation and further intimidating her and her family through the publication of residential addresses, personal files and e-mail address, etc.
The results of the investigation will be notified by the prosecutor’s office additionally.
