Almanac of contemporary fiction by young Transcarpathian authors is the third book of "Library of the ‘Stary Zamok’ paper" regional publishing project. So far, Dmytro Keshelya’s trilogy "Flying Singing Stones" have been published and Ivan Dolhosh’s book about heroes of Carpatho-Ukraine "And Tisa Cried with Blood" is being prepared to print.
Youth almanac will unite under one binding both first book authors and creative youth, who has never presented their writing to public. Texts will be selected by professional writers: Vasyl Husti, Nadiya Panchuk and Christina Keryta. Currently 30 authors agreed to participate in the project, who offered their previously never printed texts. Of course, poetry dominates, but some examples of prose are also worthy of attention.
Authors have to submit up to ten poems or prose of the same number of pages, as well as a brief CV and photo. Works should be, preferably, in Ukrainian language, although quality Russian texts also have all the chances to be included into the collection. Organizers strive to attract writers from all over the region, not just from Uzhgorod, as usual.
Almanac will be issued in autumn, preliminary in 500 copies. Books will replenish shelves of bookstores and libraries.
