Doctors of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after Amosov examined more than 200 patients with heart pathology in two days when visiting Tyachiv and Irshava districts. Cardiologists of the highest category, deputy doctor of clinic Valentyn Garmash, doctor of ultrasonic diagnostics Natalia Vitkovska and professor, cardiac surgeon, deputy director of research Vasyl Lazoryshynets.

‘Despite the positive environment of Transcarpathia, there are a lot of patients with severe heart pathology, unfortunately, notes Natalia Vitkowska, who in two days of work managed to examined more than a hundred of children – and this not because Ukrainian such painful, this due to the fact that diagnosis has improved.’

‘Problem of the heart is the problem of the country. We eat badly, smoke, drink and then get surprised that our children born ill and their own heart cannot work properly – adds Valentyna Garmash, a cardiologist.
