Katerynchuk wants to make MPs speak Ukrainian

The People’s Deputy from the faction NUNS, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk registered the draft of Law "On state language of Ukraine" in the Parliament. UBR informs about this, citing the press service of the European Party.
The project’s author claims that it will determine the rules of usage of the state language and resolve the social relations associated with its status. In particular it will strengthen the legal basis for the use of Ukrainian state language by the public authorities, local governments and other organizations.
The new document establishes requirements for the authorities, which state the need to improve and spread Ukrainian as a state language. The bill defines the responsibilities both for the government and for the officials as to the state language, and also establishes the rights of citizens. One of the provisions of the new project is the duty of officials to use Ukrainian as the state language.
