Uzhgorod “Korona” has fallen in price at least threefold. They say that is for a certain person

Under the Protocol № 1 of Uzhgorod city council tendering committee meeting, held on July 11, 2012, a historic building, the hotel-restaurant complex "Korona" (the total area of ​​3880 sq. m.), which is located on one of the central squares of the regional center of Transcarpathia – that is Teatralna Square – has been estimated for future privatization at 8,065 million UAH. Although, we remind that it has been already a year since the city authorities and deputies said that for this considerable building in the historic center of Uzhgorod it was planned to receive from 24 to 46 million hryvnia.

The members of the commission set a starting price of 2078.60 (two thousand and seventy-eight) hryvnia, or 256.00 (two hundred fifty six) dollars per square meter. Although the minimum price of a privatization square meter in the city center is not less than 1200 USD.

Due to the order of Mayor Victor Pogorelov (on July 4, 2012 № 196), the tender commission on the privatization for some reason did not include the chairmen of the standing committees of the city council. Although the decision made by Uzhgorod city council on 09.12.2011 provided that the committee would include exactly these representatives.

There are rumors in Uzhgorod that "Korona" has the "right" commission and its price fell because a “particular person” is getting ready to buy it.
