The head of border guard departments asked tour operators to send lists of tourist groups of relevant checkpoints in Lviv region by e-mails in order to speed up the border crossing procedures organized by tourist groups. It was reported by UNN with the reference to the press service of Lviv Regional State Administration.
Such an appeal is the result of a joint meeting of the Tourism Department of Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv border troop STS of Ukraine and the heads of regional travel enterprise, which regarded to innovative approaches in the implementation of border crossing procedures organized by tourists.
The main innovation consists in the setting of an early presentation system of the border guards’ information on necessity of crossing the border by tourist group. The border guards believe that this will significantly allow speed up the border crossing due to operational passport control.
