The sentence of Uzhgorod district court, in relation to two residents of the village of Nyzhnii Koropets in Mukachevo district, Transcarpathian region who tried to illegally transfer six Afghanistan citizens across the state border of Ukraine to the European countries came into force.
It was revealed that a group of illegal immigrants was taken to the Transcarpathia from Chernivtsi. In January of this year, near the village of Velyka Dobron in Uzhgorod District, the SSU officers detained two cars in which there were six immigrants from Afghanistan without any documents, they were accompanied by two dwellers of the region.
Two local residents were found guilty of committing an offense under Part 2, article 332 (illegal conveyance of persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed by the previous concert by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced in the form of 5 years of imprisonment with a probation period 1 year and 6 months, – informs the press group of SSU in the Transcarpathian region.
