The film after the novel written by the famous Transcarpathian writer Dmytro Keshelia, which is called ‘The Tree, Which Was Planted by an Angel’ was presented to Uzhgorod audience for the first time. Artistic director and producer of the tape became Oleksandr Hereshko.
The film sounds in Russian, because it was made on Mykyta Mikhalkov’s deputy request for the distribution firm. ‘Moscovteleshow’ where everyone eventually will have an opportunity to buy the presented movie takes place every year in autumn and spring in Moscow. According to Volodymyr Hereshka it is very hard nowadays to find a good scenario for non-commercial project. You can talk about scenarios crisis not only in Ukraine but also abroad.
Dmytro Keshelya emphasizes that Ukraine has a meager financial base for the development of cinematography. For example, this year the Ministry of Culture has allocated 100 million hryvnia for the development of motion pictures in Ukraine. But such funding can be used only for creation of one film. Let us hope only for better.
