Experts calculated how much money was stolen from bank customers by hackers

The group of professional fraudsters could have stolen 60 million euros from the accounts of institutions and wealthy clients of banks last year, the study of anti-virus software manufacturer McAfee says.

The report says that at least 60 financial institutions in Europe, USA and Latin America were affected by the attacks of malicious programs. Most of the money was stolen from the accounts of the Italian, German and Netherlands banks, the authors of the study inform.

We remind that recently the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and Federal Security Service conducted the operation to curb the activity of the group of cyber fraudsters that in three years stole at least $ 5 million through Internet banking. The network was created by a 22-year-old hacker. The fraudsters used servers in the Netherlands, Germany, France and the United States.
