The realization of the project ‘The integrated network of bicycle hiking trails along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border’ started in Transcarpathia since June of this year.
The project will last for the whole year during which there will be provided the cross-border construction of bicycle lanes, the bike parking station creation, the database about attractive tourist destinations along the bicycle tracks conducting, training guides for cycling tourism, working meetings, conferences and study tours.
According to the initiators and performers of the project – the public organization of Transcarpathian region ‘Center of the Ukrainian-Hungarian Regional Development’, it is also planned to conduct the scientific research on the preparation of Transcarpathia to the European network of bicycle tracks.
Moreover, it will be issued tourist map of the region, booklets and brochures for cyclists. Project activities will be extended on Transcarpathian region, including the city of Uzhgorod, Beregovo, Vynogradiv, Mukachevo, Khust and Sabolch-Satmar-Bereg region (Hungary), including the cities of Nyiredhaz, Berehshuran, Feherdyarmat, Tysabech and settlements along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
