On June 26 at about 10:30 p.m. at a "T" – shaped crossroad "Chaslovtsy-Podgorb" and "Podgorb-Dubrovka" in Uzhgorod district, a driver of one of Uzhgorod taxi services, was unable to perform the maneuver to turn right and drove to the area of a roadside cafe, where a few local residents were standing.
As a result of the accident two pedestrians were taken to hospital with injuries. The driver, who had been detained three times by the traffic police for driving under the influence of intoxicants, once again was caught with alcohol in his blood – according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
