Members of Transcarpathian Union of Journalists to be re-registered

At the XII Congress plenum of National Union of Journalists in Ukraine (NUOU) it has been decided to carry out the re-registration of the union members of Transcarpathian region. For example, our neighbors in Lviv out of 1,200 excluded a third of all members. We are not talking about some kind of audit or reprisals, said Dmitry Vorobets. It is just that those who do not favor ties with NUOU will be excluded from it. For example, someone was working in the newspaper and later gave up journalism, having lost contact with the union. The membership for this reason will automatically be terminated too. Only retired media staff and students will not be affected. Registered members will be included into the overall database.
