The Euro NCAP Committee has once again increased the requirements for automakers. All the new cars must be equipped with the Emergency Brake system (AEV). This decision was preceded by research and tests.
According to the Euro NCAP experts’ conclusions, the use of AEV reduces the accidents amount by 27 percent. Currently, 79% of all realized in the EU cars do not possess with this function, and more than a half of manufacturers (66%) do not provide AEV even as an optional equipment on one of their models.
In addition to passengers’ security control strengthening, the monitoring after the cars’ ability to withstand hit from behind was also increased. Therefore, a series of crash tests includes the corresponding additional testing. In the prevention of so-called neck injuries and the spine the main role plays not only headrests but their construction as well.
